Loyal Spotify Customer is getting RIPPED OFF.

Loyal Spotify Customer is getting RIPPED OFF.

DEAR SPOTIFY CON ARTISTS and Loyal Spotify Community ,

I have had the Spotify app for over a year now. I started with free premium 1st  and fell in love with the app and it's technologies so i bought it and paid, what i thought was $5 every month for it .I have been a student from 2011 to december of 2016, and my plan was to switch premiums when i switched banks. As of lately i switched banks but had not switched over my Spotify payment plan, to my new bank, because sadly i have found that i have been charged the standard 10$  premium , for over a YEAR , When i  was lead to believe i had the student plan. I know for a fact,  had Spotify for 12 + months  and being charged twice as much that is a $60 LOSS  to a loyal customer who reffered MANY customers to this app. As soon as i found out i took funds from my account so i could nolonger get ripped off from an app i once though was fantastic. I can now no longer listed to any of the play lists i have created for the year and some odd months. I can name 5 or more family members or close friends whom of which i recommended this app too, and if this cannot be made right you wont juust be losing my dedicated customer loyalty.... PLEASE MAKE THIS RIGHT!

Hello there,

the issue is the spotify premium program for students only lasts for a year meaning that from after a year it automatically charges you £10 a month. You see even people with free premium if they forget to cancel their plan they will automatically get charged aswell and despite the number of people you have reccomended you have to understand that the student plan was only for a year. Luckily your spotify playlists are still saved and chances are you can reobtain them as long as the premium plan carries on. I would recommend that since you got your family onto spotify maybe opening a spotify family premium plan - £15 a month and it gives spotify premium to 5 family members on seperate accounts which is about £3 a person a month which is a huge saver.

Hope that helps!

No, see i have bank staements going back showing i never was charged $5 to start off with, the studeent premium wasnever applied.

Completely unfair to blame Spotify for this. It's your own fault for not realising the student discount has not applied. You should check your bank statements in future?!
