Hi there,
My premium for family code does not work, when I try to redeem the code I get the following message:
"Unfortunately this Premium code does not seem to be valid. Try again or contact customer service."
I also cannot accept the invitation sent to me in my email inbox, the "ACCEPT INVITATION" text is greyed out and is not a hyperlink.

First thing is to make sure that you reside at the same adress. Then you can try and send the invite again.
If this does not help I recommending getting in touch with spotify via the contact form on the website. You can also tweet them on twitter @SpotifyCares.
I have a question - if I am currently not at my home address when I accept the invitation will it not let me? Even if I live at home?

as long as you reside a the home address if you are out and about no worries-it should work 🙂
I know this was posted in 2016, but now it's December 02, 2017 and I'm experiencing the same problem. I send an invite to someone I copy and paste it to the code section of their account and it tells me it's not valid. Can I get some help with this???
