My Question or Issue

I am asking the following question for a friend of mine.

My friend signed up for Spotify using his Facebook account a few years ago. Unfortunately he lost access to his Facebook account when he lost access to the email the used to sign up for Facebook. Now he is obviously unable to log in to his Spotify account.

What are his options to restore access to his Spotify account? He would like to change authentication from Facebook-based to a regular account. Could he perhaps send a scanned ID to Spotify?

He would just create a new account, but since he can't access his old account he is also unable to cancel his subscription. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
