Spotify Student Account

I have a regular free spotify account, but would like to get premium with the student discount as I am a student. 

My account is linked with my Facebook. The primary email now on Facebook is my college email. However, my Spotify account email is not updating. When I try to get Spotify premium with the student discount, I am just taken to the regular premium account and asked to pay $9.99. What should I do?

There is currently an issue with the student discount sign up.

Personally I would try going through this method https://www.spotify.com/uk/student/ and then select the appropriate discount.

Afterwards try changing your email.
