Spotify doesn't recognize that I am a student

Spotify doesn't recognize that I am a student

I am trying to get the student discount and I am attending University of Florida Online. Spotify does not recognize that I am a student there. I would understand if it was right before classes started, but classes have started and I already attended some of my classes so I am 100% sure that the university has me in there database.

 

 

I then tried sending my information manually and sent them a screenshot of my transcript (unofficial), but they still will not accept it. Anyone else run into this problem? Could it because I am doing online classes? I would really appreciate the help, thanks.

Do you get any error message while attempting to start the offer?

 

If you can verify your elegibility on this page you should be able to start the student offer.

If your university is not listed here, then you are not elegible for the student discount.

No I don't get any erros. I sent all of the information they asked for, but they still wont accept me. The reason they put was "Status selected on verification form does not match status displayed on document." I am assuming that they mean my enrollement in the university and I am 100% sure I am enrolled in University of Florida (UF). From the selections there was another university with a very similar name (The Univeristy of Florida), but that is the state college. I am attending the private university (University of Florida (UF)). I have tried signing up with both selections, but still nothing. 

 

Could the document possibly be the problem? Or could my enrollement as an online student be the problem? Thank you for the help.

Just to be sure, do you have an active Premium subscription or are you on Premium currently?

I do not have premium. I am currently using the free version. Do I have to sign up for the regular premium, then switch over to the student discount?

I asked because sometimes people have trouble activating a student discount if they have an active Premium subscription.

 

In this case, I'd recommend you to contact support directly here so they can help you sort this out.

If you receive an automated email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.
Support usually answers within 24-48 hours.
