My Question or Issue
Since almost a month now, whenever I use my Spotify on Cellular Data, It doesn't seem to work. It shows, "No internet connection available." However, on WiFi, it absolutely works fine. Also, it's just the issue with Spotify. Every other app works just fine. I hope you see and can help me ASAP.
Well I can log in another device but not the one I use- and it works all well on wifi but not on cellular data 🙂
Hey @Soseoll_mew08,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining this conversation.
To make sure we're on the same page, would you mind mentioning the troubleshooting steps you have followed so far?
Also, make sure you have all the permissions granted on your device for the app to use the mobile data connection. This is usually in your phone setting under the section "Data Saver" or "Battery optimization".
Lastly, since it works fine on a different device, the issue could be related to some damaged cache stored from previous updates. In this case, and if you haven't tried before, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.
Let us know how it goes.
i still have the problem
It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with using Spotify over cellular data, but it works fine when connected to WiFi. This is likely due to a problem with your device's network settings or an issue with the Spotify app.
Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
Check your device's mobile data settings to ensure that Spotify is not blocked from using cellular data.
Make sure that your cellular data plan is active and has enough data available.
Check that the Spotify app is updated to the latest version.
Try clearing the cache and data of the Spotify app on your device.
Try disabling and re-enabling cellular data for the Spotify app.
Try disabling and re-enabling cellular data for your device.
Try restarting your device.
Contact your cellular service provider to see if they can offer any solutions or if there are any known outages in your area.
Contact Spotify support, they will be able to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue. They can check your account, network setting and help you to understand why you are having this problem only with Spotify on cellular data.
It could be that the issue is related to your device's network settings, your cellular data plan, or an issue with the Spotify app. By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and enjoy your music on cellular data.
Hi everyone, me too, I have a problem with my Spotify app on my smartphone. When I use the Wi-Fi connection, everything works fine but on cellular data, That's totally different. The application noticed "No Internet connection available". I read all the messages above. I cleared all the data and now I can't connect on app because cellular data doesn't work on app so I can't create an account and log in.
I forgot. I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro with MIUI 13.0.4 stable like OS. Country: Ivory Coast, Plan: Premium
Hi! Please, I can't use my Spotify unless under wifi conditions.
It started after a recent phone update.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, cleared usage, I've done everything I can.
Please help!
Hey @Oscar301,
Thanks for your reply here.
Kudos for the initial troubleshooting you've tried so far. Since you mentioned this started to happen after a recent update, would you mind checking the device's settings if perhaps Spotify has some restrictions on using your mobile data? On some devices, you can restrict mobile data usage for most apps.
If this behavior persists afterwards, then we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

• An Infinix Hit 10 play, Infinix X688B, Android Version 11
• Spotify Version 8.9.80.581
• Yes! It still does.
• All I can access is my library and all my downloaded content. There's a constant "Spotify is currently set to offline" notification at the bottom of the screen and it's been this way for weeks.
I also tried logging into a new account and it's the same problem all together.
Please look into this, Thank you!
Hey again @Oscar301,
Thank you for sharing the requested details!
I'm also thinking of something else -
On Android you are able to control whether certain apps are allowed to use mobile data.
You should be able to find such an option in your phone's Settings under Data Usage. We can't give the exact steps for your phone, but on an Android 14 it's called "Allowed networks for apps", so I assume it would be something similar.
Once you find it - make sure Spotify is allowed to use mobile data 🙂
Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.
Still isn't working
Hello, my account automatically logs out whenever I turn on my mobile data but it works perfectly with a connected wifi
