Spotify says abroad when I'm not.

My Question or Issue

Spotify will not let me open the app without saying i can only be abroad for 14 days. Im in the US, I live here, my country/region in my account is set to US and none of the help topics I have found has worked. Thank you!

Spotify thinks you’re abroad because of your internet connection (VPN, proxy, or ISP routing). Turn off VPN/proxy and check your account country. If it continues, contact Spotify support

yes, VPN is off but error still occurs

In addition to what @emma_23 said, consider trying on different networks, both mobile data and various Wi-Fi. If the issue is only on one Android phone, consider performing a clean reinstall there as well.
