Hello @Thekasbahas,
Most of the time the issue is caused by the playback device. You can check if there are any devices available. Open CMD and execute the following command :
control mmsys.cpl sounds
Set one of the devices as default ( or change the current one ) , then restart Spotify and see if it works.
Hello @Thekasbahas,
Can you please provide us with the following information ?

I have the same annoying issue and there is no solution anywhere. Please fix this!
Spotify Version: 1.0.21.143.g76c19bcd
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Subscription: Spotify Premium
Hi all.
Glad it's not just me with this issue too. I noticed it yesterday and hoped a good old fashioned reinstall and reboot would help but no luck unfortunately. Strangely enough is that Spotify Premium is working fine on my Android phone but not on my PC so must be a settings issue somewhere? Please help otherwise I'm wasting my subscription fee!
Any updates, I´m experimenting exactly the same issue
Getting the same issue - I'm able to play songs from a playlist I've listened to within the last week, but if I try to play any other song I'm getting the message 'This song is not available..."
Spotify Premium
Windows 7 64 bit
Spotify version 1.0.24.104.g92a22684
Same issue, tracks don't work in the spotify client "This track is not available. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."
But they work fine on spotify web. Really annoying! Wonder if Google Music have similar issues or if it is worth switching music service.

Same issue.
Hello folks,
Is possible to reproduce the issue while logging is on? Here is how to do so:
%AppData%\Spotify\Spotify.exe --log-file=C:\Users\YourUSER\Desktop\Spotify.log
Thank you!
*Make sure to adjust YourUSER accordingly!
I'm having the same issue, I've been having it for two days now and its getting a little annoying, I'm paying premium, so please fix this ASAP. I tried to run the command on cmd and it didn't work.
Dreadlord, I'm having similar issues and can give some more insight into some things I've noticed.
First, I'm running Windows 7 and Spotify version 1.0.26.132.ga4e3ccee for the installation that's having issues. I've installed Spotify on Linux on the same laptop, and that installation works perfectly fine. Similarly, the Web Player (both on Windows and Linux) also works perfectly fine.
Next, I ran the command to enable logging and got meaningful output, it seems that this line in the log is most helpful:
05:36:11.498 E [audio_decompressor_process.cpp:430] playbackError: playback_error_audio_driver (12)
I have the full log available, is there any information I should take out before posting it?
Thanks!
i've just entered in my folder on app data and deleted my user's folder, then it works
C:\Users\(my PC User)\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Users\(My spotify user this folder i've deleted)
