Help.. I've just upgraded to premium so as not to get ads and lost all the playlists I had created with the free version. I NEED them now!! Help
Hey @newhazel,
It sounds like you've got a second account with Spotify. Are there any other email addresses you could have used to register with Spotify? It's worth checking those inboxes to see if you have any Spotify emails -- that will mean your extra account is registered with that email.
my free account was with the same email address. Here's what happened... on my iPad using the SPotify app - free account, checking the party playlist for tonight. I thought... I'll upgrade as I'm fed up with ads. So, went to Spotify website and purchased the upgrade. Then I went back to the app, logged out of that free account because it wasn't showing that I had upgraded. Logged back in and found EMPTY PLAYLISTS
If he paid for a suscription, he must have received an email notifying this and the account in which he subscribed. That is the account that he may logging into. Also, just in case, it might be worth trying a reinstall or asking if he's able to see his playlists on the web player.
Let us know how it goes.
If you really paid for a Premium subscription, you've received an email confirming this and letting know which account you used to subscribe.
Have you tried reinstalling Spotify yet? Are the playlists appearing on the web player?
Hey @newhazel,
Are you logging in through Facebook, with a username or with an email address?
Hi there
no, although it soundd logical, it didnt solve my problem. I had subscribed with the same email address. In fact, I tried several times to upgrade from the app where I wa accessing Spotify free but nowhere did it allow me to do that (very dum of Spotify) so I had to go on to the net and do it. I used the same email address. I didnt use FB to register.
I had been meaning to upgrade for ages as Id got to like Spotify but not the ads. And I know I should have done it days before the party but didnt. Anyway now, Im furious with Spotify and they can stick their premium acccount. I didnt even know that you could have premium for nothing for a few weeks before starting to pay,;;; I was prepared to pay up front. Now however, I want to cancel. Its dreadful to lose a playlist and I see that lots of others have had it happen to them.
I dont know what the heck an RSP is but Thank you to Maxim for trying to help me on the night.
