Cant use store bought gift cards to pay for premium

I just purchased premium service, and signed up for family plan. I knew I was doing this and purchased gift cards with cash to pay for this. Now, after I have signed up, I am told I can't use gift cards to pay for my account. Help?

Solved!! Spotify Premium - College for $4.99, now I pay $9.99 for Spotify Premium?

I was originally signed up with the college discount, paying $4.99 However, for the past two months I have been paying $9.99. Is there a reason this is happening? If so, what can I do to fix it? Thank you in advance for your help!
