spotify account credit card hacked

 A few weeks ago, one of my credit cards had to be disabled because somehow someone was able to access it and tried to defraud me. After the card was disabled, I chose another credit card to pay for spotify with. Now this card has also been hacked and had to be disabled as well. The only common link between those cards was that I payed spotify with both of them on the same macbook. I am now trying to find out whether my spotify account is the root of the issue or if my macbook has malware. 

Does anyone have an idea what might have happened?

I don't think your credit card was taken over trough Spotify. However, if you think someone has accessed your account, I'd recommend reading this Spotify Answer for the next steps to take.
