My Question or Issue
I can no longer add a playlist to the home screen. However, existing links on my home screen still work. When I click on the "three dots" option on a playlist the "add to home screen" option is no longer available; however, this does seem to be available for individual albums.
Thankyou! Gotta love it when users figure out a way to do what the developers can't be bothered with.

I recently (stupidly) deleted a long-standing playlist shortcut from my homescreen and tried to add it back, to find that the option no longer exists??
I found a work around that lets me add playlist to homescreen (long press spotify and add playlist from there) but it doesn't automatically start playing when I tap the shortcut like it used to?
Any way to do this? Why was this feature removed? This is such a nuisance, Spotify devs help. Please atleast send me a url for autoplaying a playlist so I can use the shortcut maker app.
This does not seem to work anymore weather for albums. At least not on Samsung one ui7. So disappointing. This was a good way to manage albums I needed to check out or play in high rotation.
Well, no more homescreen shortcut for albums in Spotify's android app.
Used to work thru link inside app itself, they removed it but it could be done by long pressing Spotify's app icon. And now nothing...
Any alternatives to make them?
There's an alternative one, in this case i use Android. Hold the Spotify app icon and it will show an icon or options of other playlist, if your playlist is there, drag it by holding the 3 lines and drag it to your homescreen.
The feature is now available on OneUI as well as Pixel
Heavier skins block the ability in my experience on current builds of Samsung Xiaomi Google and Motorola also Android 16 makes it tap to add no longer able to drag shortcuts to the home screen

Hi there, sorry to be the one to say that, but you are asking us to the test. I work in technology and everytime we release an update or a feature the QA team need to test everything to see if ntg brakes in the code and the experience continue the same for clients. I mean it isn't for free só pls help us to have the best experience for us listeners and less trouble for you guys. a simple button like clean the cache would do the job, instead of us having to reinstall eveything . Thank you and sorry to bother.
There is native ability to clean cache in the Spotify settings section
