Can't connect through WiFi

I am getting a message "There is no Internet connection" when I am connected via WiFi. All other applications work as expected. If I turn off WiFi Spotify works again over the mobile connection. Problems started when upgrading Spotify to 3.0.0.1124. I am running on Galaxy S5 Android 5.0.

  • I’ve had the premium service for months. Won’t connect over WiFi (netgear) only mobile data on both my iPhone AND MacBook (using tethering). My housemate who also pays for Spotify has the same problem (on his Mac and iPhone can’t access Spotify over WiFi only mobile data). When I first got the app a year ago no issues and Spotify would connect and download via our WiFi just fine. Have tried resetting modems. Deleting and Reinstalling apps. Obviously this is a massive bug. Fix it. In the meantime I’m looking at others services that actually deliver.
