Car Controls/Autoplay Stopped Working

My Question or Issue

For months now my car controls do not work with spotify anymore. I have a brand new MINI Cooper since a year ago and for roughly 6 months from purchase spotify has had no problems. For some reason when starting the car spotify doesn't autoplay from where i left off and the car controls doesn't skip songs anymore.

1. The car controls and autoplay works with my sony media player on my phone. So it's something to do with spotify.
2. When using other cars, the controls and autoplay works with my spotify on my phone.
3. When someone uses their phone with spotify with my car, the controls and autoplay works absolutely fine.

So there is something unique with my spotify and my car. I have tried uninstalling spotify but that doesn't work. Plus i have noticed that you can't fully uninstall spotify anymore from android phones you just seem to uninstall all the updates and have a bare basic spotify left on your phone. This may have something to do with uninstalling not fixing my issue as it was never uninstalled in the first place.
