When using Spotify, the volume control via hardware buttons superimposses with other apps in foreground.
Is there a way to deactivate this behaviour?
It is especially problematic when combined with using spotify connect, changing the volume of remote speakers.
Hey there @Stefan_001,
Thank you for your post here in the Community.
It's not possible to disable that at the moment. You can go into the app and lower the volume directly in there.
If you think this feature will appeal to other users you can always create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app.
If you have any questions we're always one reply away.
Take care!
I too hate it when I have spotify in the backgroud and pressing volume buttons change the spotify volume instead of my phones media volume. I use spotify remote a lot but I use my phone for so much more than just spotify.
Hey @alavetela,
Thanks for the post.
The reason this is happening is because Spotify takes control of the devices media output, and in turn adjusts the Spotify app volume by default.
If you have ideas on how to improve this, follow @Jeremy's advice and submit an idea 🙂
Cheers.
But did you ever implemented any idea coming from your customers?
Hey @goldiee36,
Thanks for the question.
There are plenty of features added/ changed on the Spotify app across various platforms, all thanks to user feedback and user ideas.
The developers are constantly working on making the app lighter and easier to use. This process of refinement involves the introduction or removal of certain features. Sometimes those decisions are good and sometimes they aren't beneficial to the user experience. This is why user feedback is important. Certain features take longer to implement than others, but if a lot of users request something and it's possible to do, the developer team does it.
You can have a look at this page for all the implemented Ideas 🙂
Cheers.
