Songs skip after at most a few seconds after update

My Question or Issue

When attempting to play playlists on either WiFi or mobile data, each song will play for 0.1-5 seconds, then skip to the next song. Help indicates that this has been an issue in the past resolved by updates, but this is the first time I have experienced it. Rebooting, logging out and in, and reinstalling the app have not resolved the issue. This bug renders the app unusable on my phone. This bug only began this morning. I have not changed any settings on my phone recently.

Update - it appears that Spotify now breaks if you are using an ad blocker on your phone. Saving the rant about how it's wrong to be penalising premium users for doing so, this was resolved by whitelisting the app on Blockada.
