Spotify Controls Disappear on Lock Screen After Pause

Samsung Galaxy S8 running Nougat (7.0).

The Spotify controls disappear from my lock screen if I pause the track I'm listening to. I have power saving turned off for Spotify, notifications on for Spotify, and notifications on for my lock screen.

What gives? This didn't happen on my Galaxy S5 running Marshmallow (6.0.1).

Same. Glad to know it's not just me. 

That said, I also have a Google Play account and it happens with that one too, so I'm fairly sure this is a Samsung fault and not Spotify.
