Spotify crashes after 1-2 seconds

Spotify crashes after 1-2 seconds

Hi,

Description

On a new tablet I can't get Spotify to run.  A Spotify screen shows up for a very brief period (not much more than 1 second) and then disappears completely.  I don't even get to enter my Spotify account details.

What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?

I've followed all "clean install" instructions, repeatedly, but no success.  Also reinstalled the tablet's firmware (4.1.2), but still no luck.  No SD card present, so that's not causing an issue.

What I expected to happen

I expect Spotify to simply run on this Android device.  I have the same Spotify version running successfully on two other Android devices (with Android 4.0.4 and 4.2.2).

Did you restart your device when troubleshooting in section B?

Many times.

Did you read the connection troubleshooting tips?

Not really applicable.  I don't even get to the part where the app attempts to connect with the server.  The tablet has working internet connectivity.

Hi again,

I went through all the recommendations in the "how to fix common isssues for Spotify on Android".  That's what I meant with my original post.

Anyone?

Do you have any task/cache cleaners installed? Or battery manager possibly?

No.  No task/cache cleaners. No battery manager.

Spotify was installed on a clean firmware install (and that firmware doesn't include task/cache cleaners or a battery manager).

Eventually got Spotify working, but only by downgrading the tablet from Android 4.1 to 4.0.  Not exactly my preferred option, but the only way to use Spotify on this tablet.

I must admit that I (premium user) am disappointed by Spotify's lack of real support for my problems.

La verdad una vergüenza la falta de respuesta del servicio técnico.
