My Question or Issue

I have  a Samsung G S8 and Spotify Premium. If the phone is left idle for a short while Spotify won't play. I either get a rotating circle or the play button does nothing. The only thing that seems to work is to select my play list and press shuffle. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I've tried replacing the memory card where the music is stored but nothing works. I am getting very tired of the constant upgrades that appear to make the app less usable. If anyone can help, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the link.

For the record, I uninstalled Spotify and cleared the
cache. I then removed the sd card and copied it to my
PC, replaced the card and formatted in the phone. I
reinstalled Spotify and part of the problem
disappeared and I was left with the rotating circle. I
logged into my account and looked at offline devices.
My old phone (S5) was still there, with my new phone
(the S8) showing 5 entries. I deleted all of them and
rebooted the phone and it appears to have worked.
