Im paying for premium, but only getting free service with commercials. Why?

Timm - Looks like there was a bit of trouble taking that last payment. We can't see why, unfortunately, but you will need to resubscribe to get your Premium going again.

Okay - I fixed this, but still the account is Free???

Timm - It looks like your payment details have saved, but you haven't restarted the subscription just yet. You'll be able to restart it from the link I mentioned above.

Yes.... Lost my card, so I put a new card on the account ... I see a charge on my statement but not on my spotify account info... it says I'm a free user it gives me the option to upgrade I click ....then it tells me to login to Facebook to verify ... I do as I'm told then it just opens Facebook .... Im not reconected to spotify ...No premium.... Nothing just Facebook... 😞

Bittergreen - Hmm. Sounds strange. Your payment details are all saved nicely, but your subscription just needs to be restarted. Could you try doing this through a different browser (or a Chrome 'Incognito Window')? Just head here to complete it: www.spotify.com/account/subscription

Hi Sam .... Thanks so much for being there for me... I ended up switching my card and did it from my iPad .... And it looks like we have success!! 🙂 thank goodness.... I now know I CAN NOT live without my Spotify ....after 8 months of no problems ...losing it for a few days was absolute hell!! Thanks Again!!!

I also have this problem....paying for premium, but can only use the free version (with facebook login. Does not accept the spotify password and user name). Can you help? Thanks a lot!

 I received my receipt (PayPal) yesterday for Premium, am not getting the service on either my PC or my iphone. I got a numerical Spotify username/id but no password instruction. I've tried restarting and reinstalling. What am I missing?

What the heck? I subscribed to premium so I could listen on my long car trip. Then NOTHING changed. My iPhone tells me I need to be premium and I'm still seeing commercials on my desktop. However, on this website it tells me I can't do the 30-day free trial now, BECAUSE I'M ALREADY PREMIUM. I look for a phone number, or live online chat to work this out, and there's nothing!?!? Is this the twighlight zone or something?

Just recently bought premium and there's no change when I log into the android app. I have even logged out/in multiple times and nothing has changed. This seems to be quite a problem with quite a few other users.

I also just paid for 1month of premium, and logged out then in as suggested.  Still have ads and no high-quality service.  Why so much latency?

Minskter17, DirgeExtinction, fritzo - Thanks for reporting this. I've escalated this issue and will report back with any updates here. 

 

In the meantime, please try 1. Sign out/ sign in 2. A clean reinstallation

Hi, 

 

I've been paying for premium for several months now, and still only getting "Free" on my laptop and my mobile device (although up until last week I was able to get premium on my mobile). 

Have tried the reinstall, as suggested, to no avail. 

 

Can you please look at getting this resolved asap. It appears to be a very common issue from the amount of disgruntled threads I have found around the internet.

Hi tommrosssearch - I've taken a look and it seems your payment for October couldn't go through successfully. 

 

You'll need to update your card details via your subscription page and upgrade again. 

 

However, I want to be sure you're aware you had upgraded a Facebook account--not 'tomarse12345'. If you want to use that original account instead pop us an email in the contact form.

yesterday i gave my card details to get the free premium 31 days to try it, they said i already have it but i cant use it in my phone (galaxy s3) so its just like before, what should i do??
