Create similar playlist

Create similar playlist

Don't think a lot of people actually noticed this update, and since it's pretty awesome (and actually works very good, yes looking at you Radio) I thought I'd share it.

There now is a "Create Similar Playlist" option in the context menu of playlists. It basically takes an existing playlist and tries to get the same mood of the songs plus the same length of the playlist (although this seems to be working better with smaller playlist [duh], tested with 2 playlists. One of 36 songs, resulted in a 33 song playlist. And one with 540 songs which resulted in a 200 song playlist.) to create a playlist that you can hop right into and pretty much have a good mix.

And well, as I said. It works pretty great!

EDIT: Wrong category, I still need to find my way in the new community layout. Sorry for that! This obviously should be in either Music Chat or Social - Off topic.

Dude, this feature is really awesome! I discovered it like you did, and it helped me develop a reggae playlist of mine (spotify:user:rmrui:playlist:2G7dtmb2Ux14CYnO2wDe3j). Thanks for sharing!

I have this option but when I press the "Similar Playlist" option nothing happens. It used to work but now it doesn't. Do you know how can I fix it?

Try checking if you have the latest version at first, if not try updating. Otherwise try reinstalling Spotify. Those are the only thing I (as a regular user) can think of.

For me the feature still works, so I guess it's a local problem for you.

Also, you obviously got to have internet for this to work (I guess you can check if your firewall is set-up corrrectly)
