My Question or Issue

When clicking on the new menu for adding songs more easily (screenshot below) and accidentality double-clicking on one of the playlists where the song already is makes the song play from the start.
If this is a feature/intentional this is probably the stupidest thing i have ever seen. Today a accidentality did it like 10 times.

How to replicated

1. Choose a song a play it.
2. Add the song to a playlist trough the new menu (clicking the new + button)
3. Then double-click on a playlist the song is in. It should play the song from the start

Hey @Andrew369

Thanks so much for engaging with the Community, were so happy to see you here with us!

Less happy to hear you're experiencing an issue though. Lets figure it out together. A couple of the mods tried to recreate what you're experiencing, but the issue did not appear on our end. We would advise to double check and see if your Spotify is up to date. We would advise to update and if needed afterwards perform a full clean reinstall of the app.

Let us know how that goes!

Sorry im replaying this late i noticed it now that someone replayed. Still happening after one month.
I think i have the latest version. I dont know how to check it on PC I dont see any update option in MS store so i guess it is on the latest version.
If I reinstall the app the downloaded songs will stay on my PC or will I have to redownload all of them?

Thanks for confirming @Andrew369!

We were able to reproduce this behavior on our end as well, so there's no need to perform a clean reinstall for now, as you would have to re-download your offline content.

Our tech folks will look further into this. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so that you don't miss on any updates.

As an FYI, this article will help you check which version of the app you have installed.

Cheers!

Hi folks,

Our tech team has made some changes backstage, so this should now be fixed 😎 Just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Cheers 🤘
