My Question or Issue:

On the Friend Activity section on the Windows Desktop version of Spotify (Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.65.255.g85e641b4), all users' last played songs show as being played 'Now' when I know for sure there are many past the 15 minute mark, which is when the friend activity will start showing how many minutes/hours/days the user shown was last listening to music.

Hey there @brandon__bauer,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

Since you mentioned you noticed the Friend Activity hasn’t been updated, we'd recommend you clean reinstall the app on your computer. That way, you can make sure you're running the latest app version available and that the stored cache is not leading to syncing issues.

Note: Keep in mind that the Friend Activity might not update in real time.

Afterwards, we recommend you keep an eye on the feature for the next days to see if you notice any changes. If issues persist, please send us:

  • The Spotify version you're running after reinstalling the app.
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
  • Does the same happen on a different computer? You can ask for the computer of a relative or a friend to open your account there on the desktop app and check.

We'll be around!
