My Question or Issue

A few of lists (recently played, new podcasts episodes, discover...) are bugged - the album covers are cut and then there is just a black screen.

What did not help:

- restarting PC, logging in/out;

- clean reinstall (I tried both the MS store version and normal desktop version);

hosts file does not contain entries that need to be removed;

- enabling/disabling hardware acceleration.

Thank you in advance

Hey @Anon230, thanks for reaching out!

That's definitely not right! Let's see how we can get that back working for you! Let's try a deep reinstallation of the Spotify app with these steps: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p.... Could you let me know if that works for you? Also, could you let me know the resolution of your screen? You can find that on: http://whatismyscreenresolution.net.

Keep me in loop!

Have a good one,

Hubo

Hello @Hubo ,

the deep reinstallation did not help. My screen resolution according to the site is 1536x864.

Thank you in advance.

Hey there, thanks for getting back to me!

Alright, let's try something else. Could you log out of the Spotify app and use another Spotify account to login (e.g. from a friend/family member)? Does the same thing happen? Also, what versions of the Spotify app and operating system are you using? Keep me posted!

Hello, thanks for replying,

I actually found out that it is caused by the scaling of Windows. If the scaling is 100% or 150%, then it works fine. If it is 125%, then the bug occurs no matter what.

My laptop has a 1920x1080 screen, the scaling was the reason why https://bestfirms.com/what-is-my-screen-resolution/ showed it is 1536x864.

So my question is - is it the case that Spotify does not work in 1920x1080 scaled by 125% (effectively to 1536x864)?

To answer your suggestions:

- Logging with another account did not help.

- version: 1.1.44.538.g8057de92 (Microsoft Store version)

- o. s. version: 64-bit Windows 10 Home
