My Question or Issue

When I get an incomming softphone call on the "3Kontakt" app the following behavior occurs:

1) If Spotify is playing music at the time then the volume goes up and the app freezes.

2) If Spotify is open and paused then Spotify unpauses before turning up the volume and freezing.

When this happens i can't pause or even close Spotify (it keeps playing loudly until i  elimate the right process from the Task Manager).

This issue has been troubling me for months now ever since I updated to windows 11.

Spotify is the only media player that causes this behavior all others correctly pauses on incomming call.

Hey @Haugjen,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Currently, there is no option for Spotify app to automatically pause the music when receiving an incoming call on the PC. We do appreciate your feedback and will make sure to pass it on to the right team. On another note, the behavior you're describing seems a bit odd and we'll do our best to help you out.

You can begin by performing a clean reinstall of the app on your computer. We recommend this step since it'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and remove any corrupted files from previous installations. If you have previously downloaded Spotify App from the Windows Apps store, you can try getting it from our web site and vice versa to see if there will be a difference.

If you still experience the same, please let us know your device's Spotify version. It'd also be great if you could send us a quick video where we can take a better look at this behavior.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Strangely, this behavior only happens with Spotify and not other media players. Have you tried reinstalling Spotify or updating to the latest version? Sometimes software updates can help resolve compatibility issues. If the problem persists, you might want to contact Spotify support directly. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps or investigate if there's a bug related to Windows 11. I usually use Cloud Softphone as it does not cause any problems, and I can use it anytime. I wish you the best of luck in solving your problem.
