Spotify Wont Log In on Windows 10: Error Code 15

Hi!, I just bought a new cpu with Windows 10 and installed the Spotify app with no issue. When i went to login in however, an error screen appears saying: "A firewall may be blocking Spotify. Please update your firewall to allow Spotify. Additionally you could try changing the currently used proxy settings (Error Code: 15)". I'm new to Windows 10 and do not know where to look for these settings. Any help be very appreciated. Thanks!

Just struggled with this for a while. What finally allowed me to log in was some combination of disabling things in Windows Defender. Disabling all of these always lets me log in:

 

"Virus and Threat Protection"

- disable everything here; "Real-time protection", "Cloud-based protection", and "Automatic sample submission"

 

"Firewall and network protection"

- disable "Windows Firewall" for whatever network you're connected to

 

After doing all those, you should be able to log in. Once you're logged in, reenable all the security settings. You should stay logged in even if you restart the app/reboot. Best of luck.
