Spotify always slow and/or buggy on first startup

Everytime I start up Spotify the first time it is slow and/or buggy. Even after waiting a few minutes.

First of all, it doesn't seem to have a proper connection to the internet (even though it doesn't notify me of that). The browse page doesn't load, the search option does not work and it's slow in general. Secondly, when it does work it shows minor problems as well. For example, Spotify goes to the next track in a playlist, the previous track is still green highlighted in the playlist even though it already went to the next.

This all goes away after restarting Spotify itself. I use Spotify on a daily basis and I run into this problem every time which is frustrating. 

Note: I did remove Spotify and reinstal it and I have the same problem on my laptop and other pc's.

Reinstalling Spotify alone isn't enough for a 'clean' install. After uninstalling go to:

 

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify

 

You can delete the whole Spotify folder. When you've done this, go to the spotify website, download the latest version and install again.

 

Other issues I can think of since it's on all your devices:
- Network issues

- Firewall or AntiVirus checking/blocking something on first start.

First, make sure you can see hidden folders.

Then, click the user foler in the root of your Windows installation drive.

Then click the AppData folder, that was previously hidden.

Then go to roaming, and look down until you see Spotify.

Then delete the ENTIRE folder.

Pardon my ignorance, but where do I find "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify"  

 

I think Ive read to do this on other comments but can not figure out where to go.
