Nasty crackle, spit and pop during playback. Does not seem to occur when playing streamed music, mostly from downloaded music. Does not occur at all using WinAmp, the music source that can not be mentioned!! or Windows Media player, only Spotify.

Increases dramatically when mouse movement occurs.

My Question or Issue

I have separated the audio and video feeds, tried chokes and about everything else my 50 years of experience with computers/sound has suggested. Am disgusted enough to tell Spotify to pack it in.

Hey @TheOldPuterMan

That's strange! These crackling issues are tricky to track down.

You probably have tried rolling back/updating audio drivers (as this user suggested), I'd also suggest making sure your system time is correct. See this WindowsReport article on how to get behind this. Updating motherboard's firmware could help as well.

This thread on Spotify crackling has many posts that might be helpful. 🙂

Let me know how it goes!
