My Question or Issue

I'm having issues with the Spotify web app (being used on a Google Chrome browser, everything has been updated). The desktop app is currently completely non-functioning despite me trying to flag its issue over 2 MONTHS ago. I was told to "use the web app" which is now also not working properly.

My newest issue is: I have one large playlist (1400+ songs) in which I add songs I haven't heard before, I listen to them and decide if I want to add them to my yearly playlist or remove them altogether. Unfortunately, Spotify is now glitching out and whenever I add a song to my yearly playlist via the web app, it'll switch it out for a song I've removed from the playlist with the new songs. I thought I must've added the wrong song accidentally but this has been happening for a week now and I'm SURE that it's Spotify acting funny again. I know this can't be an issue on my side as it only happens when I add songs from one playlist to another.

I'm so over nothing being done to resolve or even investigate ongoing issues and new ones piling up on top of them. Do better, seriously

Sorry to hear that this started happening to you and that you can't use the Desktop app.

 

In order to figure out what might be causing this, could you give us the following information:

  • How many songs do you copy at once?
  • Do additional songs get added to all of your playlists, or only to the one you copy them over to?
  • Does this happen every time, and if so  - can you make a screen recording and share it with us, so we can get a better look at what's happening.

Some things that might be causing this:

  • Enhance - this is a feature of Spotify where the app can add similar songs to your playlists automatically. You can switch this on/ off from your mobile app.
  • It's possible that someone has gained access of your account and is adding the songs from another device. We'd recommend checking this support article for tips on how you can secure your account.
