If you're desperate you can install a previous version, or run the linux version and still get to your messages. Regardless, this is deal-breaker for me. If no response from Spotify soon, it's time to move on, along with my family and friends.

you can go to play.spotify.com/messages as long as that still works, because these stupid fools decided to remove a key feature, god knows what else they will "improve".
