hi, i did that already but it didn't work
Thanks for the reply @marinakon!
Have you tried disabling/enabling Hardware acceleration to see if that does the trick? You can do this in the app's Settings > Compatibility.
Another thing you can try is clearing the app's cache by deleting the prefs file, located in the Spotify's installation folder (the steps are listed below:
Note that you'll be logged out and your settings will be reset, so you'll have to adjust them again. If you had music downloaded for offline listening, you'll have to re-download it as well. Your library, however, will not be affected, so no worries there.
If the issue persists, I'd recommend reinstalling Spotify from a different source: if you're currently using the version from our website, try the one from the Microsoft Store instead, and vice versa.
Let us know how it goes!
Cheers 🤘
hello, thanks for the help but I couldn't find neither the prefs nor the users folder. I did try reinstalling the app from a different source tho multiple times, but still nothing.
Thanks for trying @marinakon!
Based on the screenshot you've sent you seem to be using Dark mode. Could you try disabling it to see if that helps?
Something else that's worth trying is creating a shortcut of the app on your desktop (if you haven't already) and trying out the compatibility features by right-clicking it > Properties > Compatibility.
Keep us posted!
The same thing is happening to me, I've tried reinstalling both the Microsoft version and the regular version, logged in and out multiple times on both, cleared the cache, and cleared the files and nothing has happened to fix it. Restarted the computer and everything.
i don't know how but the problem got fixed today on its own. anyways, thanks for trying to help.
