My Question or Issue

Having trouble logging into spotify PC app and webplayer.

When I log in on PC app it says something about it being blocked by the firewall, although it is not blocked the app is allowed through the firewall and i have even turned off the firewall still doesnt work.

When i log into webplayer it says the error in the title. ^^^

The only thing that works is the app on my samsung phone (android)

What could this be?

Hey there @Guzo2,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community!

There are a few things you could try to solve this and we'd recommend staring with these:

  • Disable any antivirus software temporarily to see if that helps - if it does, make sure to set Spotify as an exception

  • Turn off any VPN, if in use

  • Check that the proxy settings are set to default/auto-detect

  • Check the host files - steps can be found here for Windows devices

If that doesn't do it for you, could let us know if you experience the same behavior if you log in with a friend's or family member's account on your computer?

Thanks! Keep us in the loop.
