Invite queue Canada

Solved!

Invite queue Canada

Hi, I just read on the last app update that spotify is now available here in Canada and that is possible to join the invite queue from within the app (screenshot attached).

I have an italian free account, I tried to sign up but I can't because the 14 days term that allows you to use the service from abroad expired;  also my girlfriend tried to create an account to get in the queue but she can't cause spotify is not available here. What's the way to join the invite queue? Thank you for your support, Simone.

While the Spotify app is now available in the iOS and Android app stores for Canada, Spotify has not officially launched in Canada. Right now users can download the app and sign up for the waiting list by visiting this URL from inside of Canada:

https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/invite/

Spotify will begin sending out invitations to users who have signed up on the online waiting list when the service is ready to launch.

@simomart The spotify.ca URL is now live

Going to spotify.ca will take you to https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/invite/ where you can sign up for an invite

Thank you very much for your help! Can I sign up for the waiting list with the same email of my existent account or create a new one?

I would create a new one since the system will think your account is already active and registered somewhere else.

@MattSuda thanks

I'm in Canada and have added my email onto the queue. But I work for a US-based company so at the office our IP addess is US-based so I already have a US Spotify account linked to my Facebook account. Once Spotify is officially available in Canada, will I be able to switch my account over to the Canadian one (to retain my playlists, etc from the US account) and then be able to get premium, but still use that Canadian premium account when I'm at work via US IP address?

@Proggie

Yes, you should be able to change your US account over to a Canada account at your house (outside of your office) once Spotify officially launches.

You will use this link to make that change from a Canadian IP address:

https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/change-payment/#change-country

You would select Canada from the dropdown and then add a Canadian form of payment.

When you go to work, you should be able to use your Canadian account even though there is a US IP address because Spotify allows listening abroad in other countries from your account. You would be able to use your Canadian account at both home and work.

I hope this helps. Enjoy!
