Add "remove video content" option to Spotify Family

Please add an option to "remove video content" to Spotify Family! Since video podcasts were added, my children now watch videos on Spotify instead of listening to music.  I had given them unlimited access to Spotify (unlike other apps) because it was only used for music.

All you'd have to do is add another toggle for "remove video content" next to "Remove explicit content".

Spotify Kids is not an option for us.  My children are teens and tweens.  And because they're teens and tweens, they have a very difficult time turning off compelling video content (just like some adults).  If Spotify becomes just another screen to stare at, I'm not sure we want to keep our Family membership.

"We are going to change its status to 'Good Suggestion'"

Oh that's great! How about "we've realised that the feature is essential for many users (especially families) and are starting to implement it immediately?"

I’ve heard that before too. It’s not just a ‘nice to have’. For an audio company they are tone deaf. Oh, I forgot, they’re not an audio company anymore.

Account cancelled. What a relief!

I let them know the reason (as if anyone reads it) was about the lack of controls of course and also mentioned to CEO saying that the “Today, with the cost of creating content being close to zero” had also convinced to cancel. Good riddance.

This is what Spotify thinks of safeguarding. My 12 year old accessed this in the family plan. There is no way to stop it. I don’t think enough parents realise. IMG_0268.jpeg

Please let me choose audio and get rid of video. Fine you give the option to use to see videos. But I only want to use audio. Furthermore some video quality is really bad or bad live versions, sometimes volume difference.

In short, give me the option only audio please.

I'm another parent who ran into this issue, thinking Spotify is only for music and audiobooks, but finding out that my daughter has started consuming age inappropriate video content like "Best ways to cheat in school", "Caught vaping" and similar cheaply produced ilk. Because of that we have canceled our Spotify subscription and are switching to another service.

That sounds like exactly the kind of content being pushed on my daughter on her first week at secondary school. It’s even worse to think an algorithm is pushing this.

This is infuriating. Why won’t they do this? It’s a music app for heavens sakes. Hazbin hotel videos should not be on it!!!

It’s even worse than I thought, I read the comments in the article. There is zero moderation and parents don’t realise.
