[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

To be quite honest, I don't give a s**t about "Home". I want to be able to start in my Library, not on the Home screen.

Sure, keep the Home screen, customizable or not. Just give me the option to start with it or my library. That's what I'm asking.

Home page is 100% useless to me.

There's this "Good morning" section that somehow a playlist I literally listened to once ages ago is stuck in first position, and all the other playlist is stuff I've never listened to before. Yet the two playlists I listen to literally every day are nowhere to be found.

The rest of the front page is also now filled with podcasts and other things I promise you I will never ever listen to.

I listen to "Discover Weekly" and "Releas radar". Why do you make it so difficult for me to get to these playlists?!

The most basic implementation would be to allowing usert to  delete a single song or podcast from the history or any area where it is recommended (you also may like, your top shows etc.).

This operation is so fundamental (cf. the CRUD philosophy for data processing) that it is unacceptable that the Spotify apps lack this function.

Spotify, you have - at this moment - 29 pages full of comments to allow for home screen custimzability or the ability to delete items from history / recommendation lists. You have >2.400 votes for this idea. Users are asking for this feature since 2018 (probably longer). What else do you need to finally ACT. Do it NOW.

Thats a shame you are placing it under "Not right now". I choose Spotify over Apple Music because I preferred it's layout and interface but that advantage is gone, and with every update your layout/interface become less desirable. Not listening to your user's overwhelming desire to customize is mind boggling. You will be driving users away to other platforms.

Please allow the ability to remove something from the shortcuts! I don't need my whole team seeing ' Call Her Daddy' in my shortcuts when I'm asked to put music on at work because I listened to 10 minutes of an episode 3 months ago.

An increase in cost, yet no improvement. However, as evidence that it is possible, Spotify has added pins to the My Library section.

Now, get it done on the home page.

I didn't need this until apparently you forgot how to recommend me anything. You need to wait for someone to listen to a few different podcasts before you just jump into recommendations. Not a single recommendation in regards to audio books or podcast has made sense, I've never clicked any either.

Yet they take the spot of music on my home page. My music suggestions are at the bottom of everything. I have to scroll through 3 different suggestion areas for stuff I don't enjoy before I get to see anything music related.
I have stopped using Spotify to discover music. I only use it do listen directly to the songs I already know. I mean I have to since you literally took the best part about your platform away from me in an attempt to push commercial content on me.

CONTENT THAT HAS ADS AT THAT!

the home screen is where spotify PUSHES the **bleep** they were paid to push. Remember, it's Spotify's space to rent out, not yours.

I want to hide the podcast recommendations.  I use a different app for podcasts and that isn't going to change no matter how hard Spotify tries to shove it down my throat.  At the very least give a choice of telling you what kind of interests or disinterests I have so at least the podcasts sent to me are actually tailored to me.  Right now it is podcast vomit I see.

heheheheheheha

Get rid of podcasts in the home page. Or just put an info bar on top with "Did You Know Spotify has Podcasts?"
