[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

I'm currently using the trial version of Deezer and I'm really excited about it. You get music in HiFi quality and see podcasts only when you want it. The "FLOW" function is also really great! If Spotify can not soon hide the podcasts, I will switch.

Spotify has other problems that have not been solved for years: No support for Apple's HomePods, no AirPlay2, very poor quality music (all the other providers have managed it too)...but the worst are those crappy podcasts.

I have already stopped paying Spotify and will probably switch to Deezer completely. There you get exactly what you pay for: music in good quality.

The good morning screen should be customizable. Why doesn’t it list my pinned playlists?  It suggests playlists I listen to a fraction of the time (Christmas music!). Please don’t second guess what you think I should listen to.

I fully support this idea. I live in a household with young children, and yesterday I opened Spotify to the home screen and saw an album cover that showed a nude person. I didn't want to see that, and certainly didn't want others in my household to see that. The start screen should be customizable and we should be able to remove suggested albums/playlists/artists that we're not interested in.

Maybe a quick fix: make the sections on Home collapsable? Next to the "see all" maybe add "hide"?

"Shows you might like" on my Spotify frontpage now includes that stupid Joe Rogan podcast. If I'm in the mood for dangerous misinformation, misogyny, and racism , I just check in on my family WhatsApp group. I don't need Spotify for that.

It's ridiculous that you can give Joe Rogan $200.000.000 to spread lies about Covid, conspiracy theories, racism, homophobia, and transphobia but can't direct a handful of engineers to spend a few weeks to fix this.

You clearly don't care about your users.

Things will only change when many users cancel their Spotify account and switch to other providers. That's exactly what I'm going to do. This month was the last month I transferred my money to Spotify. I'm moving my family account to Apple Music or Deezer.

Bye Bye Spotify.

I am in a trial of Deezer right now and love it. It’s everything Spotify promised to be and more, with none of the**bleep** podcast pushing. The second there is a Deezer app for the Tesla infotainment system it’s bye bye Spotify for me as well.

I would like the option to just remove podcasts entirely from Spotify's home screen, or at a minimum remove specific podcasts. The introduction of podcasts, followed by the introduction of JRE as a *constant* suggestion despite the fact that I've never given any indication or interest in that content is pushing me to change my music providers. Spotify used to be a clear winner when it came to streaming music, but the inclusion of podcasts has significantly diminished the quality of the platform as a music streaming solution.

literally one of the top requested Ideas and you still have this set to "Not Right Now" Poor show Spotify.. Poor Show..

When at work I have podcasts ( I never listen to podcasts ) with seriously inappropriate names appearing on my home page.  I'm here for the music please let me customize my experience.
