This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

You ask us why we cancel our plans, then you intensify your harrasment. Put stuff in our faces we ask you not to. Artists we don't like above our actual interests because you get an extra two cents for the advertizing we supposedly pay you not to see. "Never heard of one of our actual customers who pays us more than you? Let's put them in your favorites. Oh, and to make sure you listen, we are removing what you actually want." Most businesses would actually want to retain customers. But you're following the Facebook route so us users aren't actually customers.

You can all do as I did.  Tried out Apple Music (their free 3-month trial), now I'm trying my free month of YouTube Music/YouTube Music, which is also great. I wish I had changed earlier.

The inability to customise, delete and edit my home page is reason enough to move to other streaming applications. There is some content that users don't want displayed, particularly if it is content that is unwanted.

Spotify will give you a choice when their user numbers go down. That is not happening. Switch to Apple Music, my friends.

getting increasingly annoyed by the spotify home screen too. i am never going to use this platform to listen to podcasts and it’s very frustrating to pay a monthly sub and still have advertising shoved in my face in this way.
