[All Platforms][Podcasts] Add Podcasts from RSS URL, for Patreon and other Private Private Streams

There have been a few similar posts, and the most recent one was ~5 votes from passing, so I'm going to try submitting this again.

Wouldn't it be amazing if you could add a podcast to your feed from an RSS URL? Did you sign up for a patreon and not know how to listen to your special new feed?

This request is to add the ability to add a podcast from an RSS feed. This opens a lot of doors, and theoretically isn't that difficult to implement.

This is a much needed feature that is preventing me from listening to all my audio/podcasts on Spotify. Most other podcast apps already have this feature and Spotify is a notable exception lagging behind. Seems this issue has been raised many times and shouldn't be that difficult to implement.

Being able to subscribe to a podcast via URL is the main feature that is stopping me using Spotify full time for listening to podcasts. Also seems, following the different threads on this topic across the community, the feature requests process is flawed. If there are 138 million Premium subscribers and 300-odd users have requested this feature, there is an issue with Spotify's engagement with their customers.

Yep just signed up for patreon and I was horrified when I found out spotify does not support this

Please add this feature. Until you do I can't use Spotify for all my podcasts. Here's another use case, granted a small one, in addition to all the people wanting this feature for Patreon feeds. For those of us who listen to the talks on Dharma Seed, when they are arranged by retreat, which is the way that makes sense to listen to them, that collection of retreat talks is made available as an rss feed.

Not having this ability constantly pulls me away from using Spotify as my Podcast app. I want to be able to consolidate listening, something I can’t do across my favorite podcasts currently due to Spotify’s limitation in this area.

Wow, I have the same shock that Spotify can't do this. I'm a long time premium subscriber, and they have been pushing podcasts so hard for the last year or so. I'm dumbfounded they don't have this fundamental feature. 

Tonight I had decided to give Spotify a try, and subscribe to all the podcasts I listen to on Pocket Casts... The Slate plus feed was my second one to try, only to find out Spotify isn't capable of handling URL subscriptions. 

Still dumbfounded. Oh well, their loss. I'm sticking with Pocket Casts.

This is a basic feature which needs to be added. Now that I have subscribed to Patreon shows I will have to migrate away from Spotify. Shame as the rest of the app works a great for podcasts
