[Android] Remove the Shuffle / Play Button

Hi, I tried out your new design, which I have mixed feelings about, but nevermind that. The most annoying thing I come over in the new Spotify (for iPhone by the way) is the dumb, big, overlapping, unnecessary shuffle play button that pops up everywhere. Is this a bug or is this on purpose? Could at least had add an option for it. Also, it doesn't look streamlined at all with the current design. Did it even occur that not everyone wants a shuffle play button?

2016 is ending and this button that people wanted to remove years ago is still here. There should obviously be a button to play songs randomly from all your playlists but not one that is placed and highlighted in a way which gives the impression at first sight that it is meant to act as a "Play" button. It is appealing and you want to press it  just like a normal "Play" button but it's not. How come after all these years nothing has changed ?

Get rid of this button - it's pointless & takes up far too much space.

I actually use that SHUFFLE PLAY button A lot! so please don't remove it...

if removed many of us would be requesting it to come back 🙂

I don't want to take away a button you use. I want the option to change it to play OR shuffle play. That way everyone is happy. Or, just have both buttons at a normal size and everyone has the choice all of the time!

Or just a setting if I want any button at all. That's the correct user experience.

On iOs The "Shuffle Play" is to hear the playlist shuffled.

If you don't want to hear the playlist shuffled, just click/tap on the track you want to hear..

the next tracks will be shuffled or not depending if you have the "shuffle" icon enabled

I prefer to hear the playlists shuffled instead of in "order" so I use that "shuffle play" button a lot !

I think that for non premium users, they only have the option to hear shuffled playlists, so maybe that's the reason why spotify hasn't (or won't) change that icon... (And I hope they don't)

I bet millions prefer to listen to a shuffled playlist.

I don't use spotify, since I first found out about this issue 

And I don't listen to playlists I listen to albums 

Artists put their albums in a certain order for a reason 

And premium users pay for the option to have the choice of playing whatever song they want from whatever artist at any point. (otherwise, why would anyone pay, since the shuffle button is free?)  Having a big green button that completely negates that choice is not only absurd, it's offensive. Which is why I moved on a while ago

You could play whatever song you want from whatever artist at any point.... You just have to click/tap on it!
