[Android] Remove the Shuffle / Play Button

Hi, I tried out your new design, which I have mixed feelings about, but nevermind that. The most annoying thing I come over in the new Spotify (for iPhone by the way) is the dumb, big, overlapping, unnecessary shuffle play button that pops up everywhere. Is this a bug or is this on purpose? Could at least had add an option for it. Also, it doesn't look streamlined at all with the current design. Did it even occur that not everyone wants a shuffle play button?

Hey Spotify, it might suit you to actually listen to your customers for once instead of only wanting to listen to the artists who bring in a lot of money (but you are severely underpaying yourselves).

Now be good and implement 2FA and fix your damn queue system.

I think people don't like the shuffle play button because they think it's to play the album or playlist but it instead shuffles. It's not always clear to the user that it shuffles instead of plays because some play buttons throughout the app will play in order and others will shuffle.

Give the user the choice on how they want to listen. Why can't we have BOTH Play & Shuffle buttons? Other music apps already have this.

It is amazing that with hundreds of complaints and the force of logic on our side, only a superstar that would have denied a release to Spotify was able to get their attention to a clear mistake. Wonder how many other mistakes have been caught by users but ignored by Spotify.

I saw one post that said it was closed because it had not gotten 50 votes, another that said closed because it hadn't gotten 180 votes, and this one has 800 votes. Not to mention all the duplicate ideas and comments to fix this. What do we have to do to have this fixed? I don't want a giant shuffle button. I don't want it on playlists or on albums. At least add a regular play button that does not shuffle. Preferably there should be a big default play button and then a shuffle button that is maybe smaller, because I want to play straight through everything 99% of the time so I can know where I left off in a playlist or album. This is for Android. I remember checking on this months ago. There has been a desire for this for ages. It's pretty ridiculous that we can't have this simple thing addressed with all this time and effort, but Adele comes along and gets it changed for albums overnight. I am paying for your service. You should consider those who pay you before you begin to lose subscribers to better platforms.

I think I found the best solution, I moved to Tidal. Spotify's customer
care is a disgrace.

That ugly f##cking default shuffle play button is still lurking around the playlists. Someone at Spotify really hates the idea of playing things in order.

I have to inactivate shuffle all the time in my Windows App and it still switches ON again and again. From the iOS I'm not able to inactivate - and some lists are with shuffle ON and some NOT. NO clue for a reason and not reproducable.

This is making me very angry, because I like to listen to albums in the correct order, because sometimes they are telling a story (e.g. Pink Floyd etc.) or they are mixes (Buddha Bar, Techno albums, Chill outs etc.). 👿

Unbeleavable, that a service which is that long on the market does not provide a clear and straight away basic functionality like shuffle ON or OFF - or to buttons Play / shuffle. 😠
