Hey everyone. We're marking this idea as 'Not Right Now' as we don't have plans to implement this feature. Today Premium users can use Shazam to identify music and use Spotify to play it. Just tap LISTEN WITH SPOTIFY in the Shazam app to open Spotify and start listening.

Users can also add SoundHound results to a Spotify playlist without leaving the app.

 I'm adding my idea like suggestion and support:

"It would be nice if you could hear a song (like SoundHound works) and spotify we can suggest the playlist containing the song, close to our location.
It is likely that these songs in a playlist are similiar to our preference."

I would really appreciate sometng like this and really hope the developers consider it for Mobile. I don't see why it couldn't work on platforms like PS4 too but it's more common to be in a public place and hear a song and want it for your collection.

It's a bit of work to use some other music matching software then go in and search (I untakederstand some link to) Spotify I always thought it would convient to have Spotify match it then give me options to add it to my library or playlists, or on rare occasions tell me it's unavailbe with Spotify (Coming Undone - Korn?)

I don't see how something like this wouldn't add value to the platform.

I agree! It would be great if they could add a music detection plug and if you could include that song into a playlist or even find suggested playlists in which that song appears

 Totally agree. I'd love to have song recognition on mobile. And then a feature to directly save to a playlist or find more from that artist.
