[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

Don't count on it. This has been an open and frequent request for years. I
dropped my Spotify subscription for this. Sucks.

Spotify, this was marked as 'not right now' in 2012. We're four years on, is this going to happen or should we cancel our subscriptions?

If you have an iPhone or iPad you could use that devices Timer in the Clock app. On the When Timer Ends options go all the way to the bottom and select "Stop Playing".

It does stop Spotify.

Yes you hae to invoke another app but it's not a big deal. Beats waiting for Spotify!!

Thanks Doc, will try it out, but how about if I want a wake alarm - wake with a Spotify playlist? It sucks that two of the seemingly most simple requests for Spotify have been repeatedly ignored for the past four years! The other being support for Landscape mode on IOS. I mean with this at least they released this for Android, but deliberately ignored IOS. Is our money a different colour to that of Android customers?

I'm an android guy. I'm not paying for Spotify anymore. It's a pretty
simple request.

But that doesn't even work anymore if you use the iOS Device via Connect as controlling unit for a gramofon or Apple TV...

I would love the option of a sleep timer, I like listening to the sleep channel when I go to bed and would like to be able to set a time to shut off after I fall asleep. Please make this idea a reality Spotify, it would be a great option for people.

Hey everyone. We still this is a great idea but we don't have plans to implement it anytime soon. We're continuing to pass your kudos on to the teams here at Spotify. Hopefully we will have more news for you around a Sleep Timer soon, thanks!

That's terrible because that's a key feature that would improve your app
sleep/wake features are a great idea so I really don't know why it's suck a
difficulty.
