[iOS][Discover] Restore Touch Preview on iOS App

Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Can't believe its gone. Pretty hard to discover new music you might like without having the option to preview it. Nobody has time to sit and listen to the whole song. 

 

Sucks and was a really handy feature.

This feature was pretty essential in finding new music. I listen to really obscure stuff sometimes and Spotify has a ton of it. But I'm also really picky and I loved being able to skim over the albums to see if they were something I'm interested in. You guys know we want it back. Do the right thing Spotify. We're paying you monthly fees for a reason!

I used this feature all if the time! It was nice to preview songs before I downloaded/added to my songs, instead of having to listen to a whole playlist/album to know what songs you would like to keep. 

 

Please bring back the feature! IMO - A great way to advertise it would be to get rid of the annoying commercials you have about premium that are three years old and replace them with advertisements about this feature.

Touch preview was the **bleep**ing best thing on spotify. Pls find a way to take this perfect thing back!!

Yes please!  Bring back long touch song previews!

Based on the hundreds of emails in my inbox relating to people missing this feature because I posted about it, it was clearly well utilized by the community despite the notification of why it was removed.
