Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Still mourn this loss daily. It's truly not the same experience. I maintain faith it will be returned, but how long before I lose that faith?

PLEASE bring back the touch preview, it made browsing through new music so much easier and it was a big part of my listening experience on Spotify.

PLEASEEEEE bring the Touch Preview feature back, it made browsing through new music so much easier, and it was a huge part of my listening experience, I have a feeling the "low engagement" thing is a bunch of BS considering all the other people reaching out about this. Please add it back.

Please restore this feature. This was such a great differentiator compared to Apple Music app - truly innovative.

I find the explanation for removing this great feature really unbeleivable. To me it looks more like the oposite - too many users were using it and perhaps the ***cost of  supporting it*** from server side became too high. So the easiest way of solving the problem was to scrap it, and to become mediocre app, maximizing $ margin vs user experience. Spotify please wake up.

Please bring the feature back. Being able to preview was an amazing tool for browsing. This feature may have had "low engagement" but from my experience it was a feature that was simply unknown to many. When I showed it to friends they would always be blown away.

Preview made it possible for non-premium users to know if they'd like the song before adding it to a playlist. Removing it has made your service so much less user-friendly. I no longer feel like I can fully tailor my listening experience, and frankly, it seems like a business decision that was made with little to no thought process on how it would actually improve your service.
