Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

This was the BEST feature of spotify, allowing you to skim music quickly discover new artist and see if you wanted to listen to the album or songs.  This was great for helping me discover new music each Friday.  Reverting to having to go into random albums and cruise through each song is painstaking slow. Why is Spotify UI getting worse.  First the removal of sending friends on Spotify songs or albums directly, now this.  Going to give it a month and start to consider whether I keep my service.  I already get Amazon Music as part of being a Prime member and willingly pay extra for this service, but am seeing less and less of a reason to keep it.

it was a really wrong desicion, who took this desicion...? that was the best feature on Spotify, It’s a shame... This is why I was recommending this app

What he said, she said, they said....ad infinitum! Insult the collective intellect a touch less with some tangible detail and we might, just might, see your logic. How many users per day used the function per whole user base. What's low? How much server capacity did the function account for...f@#k idk..but you do..I'm just a medium functioning listener not a tech-head but come on show 'some' of your working here!!??! We pay you enough surely for some level of adult explanation....or....surely still, droves of users will migrate to other services in protest of, if nothing else, your sheer fixed grin, fingers in ears corporate pig headedness. Apoplecticly yours.

I sure do miss this feature. It was such a nice way to see if I wanted to listen to a playlist or album or not. Even just going through my saved songs when I couldn’t remember a song title. Please bring this back!

Never commented, but this change pushed me here. I constantly used this feature and assumed it was a bug when it stopped working. PLEASE bring it back! Time is the most valuable thing we have and this saved so much of it!
