[iOS][Discover] Restore Touch Preview on iOS App

Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Preview and cross fade are the only reasons I didn’t switch to Apple Music.

Whoever came up with the idea of removing the touch preview should be fired. I’m thinking if switching to apple music because of this tbh.

This was easily the best way out of any app to preview a song to see if you were interested in it, or to preview a song where the title was familiar and you were trying to remember exactly what it sounded like.  Especially for me who doesn’t have premium, I believe this feature helped out the ones who username it more than you know. I hope you consider putting this back on the app.

I loved this feature, you could be listening to a song, and preview another to see if it’s the same genre, or if you would like it. Please bring the feature back Spotify

Used this feature ALL of the time - this was truly your only ‘unique selling point’.

One of the best features, too bad it’s gone.

 

And also the statistics in which part of the world had the largest numbers of listeners seems to be gone...

I really miss being able to preview a song rather than listen to the entirety of every song that seems interesting. It was a useful tool when determining whether my Discover Weekly was accurate or not and it made short work of going through other people’s playlists and such. Please bring it back.

Was a great feature, although it should be able to be toggled on and off.
