Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

I have used this feature since I started with Spotify and for the past 5 months thought there was a problem with my IPAd ?  Please bring this back.  I allowed me quickly review and album and decide to buy it our just save a single cut on Spotify.  I feel this change has “hurt” artists as I am purchasing less music and just downloading the singles. Please Please bring it back

Please bring back touch preview! it was so convenient when trying to find new music or making sure you’re putting the right song in your playlist.

this was one of my favorite things on spotify! it was nice to preview a song to see if i liked it. upset that it’s gone.

I used it all the time. Just thought my phone was messed up. Didn’t realize you took it away. Please bring it back!!

The preview is why I subscribed to Spotify in the first place!  Great when playing DJ on the boat!  Bring it back! 

Be honest with us Spotify!  As an applications programmer, you just don’t remove a working feature from an application because of usage. I’m sure licensing and cost is the issue here.

Can never actively support a company that always lies... Been a paying subscriber for around 4-5 years and I found this feature very useful. This is just like the whole lyric removal on PC again. Why not just tell the truth you bunch of spineless nobsworths.

I don't use spotify that much anymore because you removed the song preview feature. Please restore this as soon as possible. There is no Spotify without satisfied listeners.
