[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s). 

 

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Please upvote this idea to garner attention for it.  Thank you Spotify and the Spotify community.  Let's get this implemented so it's ready for general iOS 14 release this September!

As a user who is basically forced to subscribe to both Apple Music and Spotify because of this I would also like to see more native support for Spotify across my Apple ecosystem!

I would really love for this feature to be added. Using my Homepod for native playback would be great, please implement this!

Look forward to an update. I will buy 3 homepod mini’s at launch. If Spotify  does not get on board soon I might have to switch to apple music.

I have 5 HomePods at my house, waiting for any progress regarding Spotify on HomePod for a long time now. 
so Spotify sues apple for not opening up to 3rd party companies and now since it is open, nothing happens?! No beta, no announcements! 
if it goes on like this, Spotify will fail.

when HomePod mini arrives (and it will be sold a lot) and customers must choose which music service they take, what do you think will happen? Choose for shitty airplay1 or “hey Siri” able services?! 
It’s up to you to stay the big player on the market, but right now some companies are faster then you.

they will get customers, which you will be loosing. 

I will wait until end of the year, if there is no progress on this then, I will stop my subscription after 7 years and change to somebody who is able to do.
