[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

@Slim08

What's the point of your response? Have YOU moved on to another platform?

Yes… complaining here’s is not the way. I also migrate my account and my girlfriend to Apple Music long time ago. The good thing is that I also helped to migrate 3 family members from Spotify to Apple Music, and they are happy with it. Hope I can get more people moving away from Spotify!

My point is to offer you advice, clearly not well received.

I’ve moved on to YouTube music, which allows me YouTube premium, Siri support in the car and on iPhone, and comparable price.

Please stay with Spotify, and continue hoping for something that will never happen.

Right. I get it now. You’re a troll.

I would suggest no further replies to your oddly combative emails.

A bizarre way to entertain yourself…

We’ve been waiting far to long for this feature. At the very least, can someone from Spotify please give us an update.

You've moved on to another service yet you're still in here telling people not to complain. That's not advice.

"Right. I get it now. You’re a troll."

lol Looks who's talking. You've presented nothing of actual value. Plenty of people (as can be seen by the number of comments in this thread) want Spotify to implement this feature because they're not interested in moving to another service. The ones that are fine with going to something else aren't doing it because Slim08 told them to 🤦‍

I would love this feature. I'm using Apple Music every now and again (when they have a free or almost free offer), and am almost changing to Apple Music, but I would really like to keep Spotify!

Now with the new HomePod announcement, I hope Spotify will work on this idea. It would undermine Apple!!! ;)!

What is the status on this by the way, Spotify? 😄

Any news on this? I almost reached the point of switching to Apple Music, to be honest.

New HomePod 2 coming ! Time to leave Spotify as this company doesn’t listen to their customers.
