[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Yes. And there's somebody commenting who thinks this only applies to
HomePods. Doesn't seem to have considered the Mini. Or that Deezer and
Pandora thought it worthwhile. Maybe he/she works for Spotify.

Thanks for this. Let's hope the media continue to wake from their slumber.
It has taken a long time.

It’s tragic that Spotify is still not natively supported on HomePod minis. My entire home is now driven by apple’s HomeKit and I had to subscribe to Apple Music trial to be able to ask Siri for my songs. I’m seriously considering canceling my Spotify subscription even if I think it is way better than Apple Music. I need a music service who follows me wherever I am, including at home 🙂

Come on Spotify. Do this thing, please as it's really annoying that I could not use my fav music service in my entire home. In the upcoming weeks I will also canceling my Spotify subscription and switch to Apple Music as you still not give a damn, then it's pretty much mirroring how you handling your customers and those users who thought that your service was one of the best...

3 months of canceled subscription

To my fellow Apple users out there, really folks, don't expect things to change by doing the same thing again and again.

Be bold and simply cancel your subscription.

Move on and spend your time enjoying your music the way you want to, you can always come back later on when the service being offered fulfill your needs.

For users moving to Apple Music, the SongShift app will migrate only one playlist for free, for multiple playlists you’ll need to subscribe ($4.99/month), migrate your playlists, then cancel the subscription so you don’t get charged again after 30 days.

I just cancelled my subscription and I'm finally fully enjoying my HomePod. We've been waiting for Spotify's answer for more than a year, but they don't care, so switching has become our only option. Yes, I admit that Spotify's playlists are way better than those in Apple Music, but I rather have full compatibility.
